About

We build the observability platform we always wanted

Monitoring shouldn't just draw graphs and page you at 3am. It should understand your estate, keep your data yours, and turn a flood of signals into a clear answer. That belief is OverWatch.

Why OverWatch

Understanding, not just data

Most tools are great at collecting and terrible at explaining. You end up with a wall of dashboards and a pager that cries wolf. OverWatch was built to close that gap — to baseline what's normal, detect what isn't, and correlate the mess into one incident with a cause. Ask a question in plain language and Walker — the platform's own intelligence, keyless by design — answers from live estate data with evidence attached, or says so honestly when it doesn't know yet.

And it runs on your infrastructure. Your telemetry, your credentials, your logs — AES-256 encrypted at rest and never shipped to someone else's cloud. Self-hosted isn't a checkbox for us; it's the point.

How we build

Principles you can feel in the product

These aren't slogans — they're the decisions behind every feature.

Correlation over noise

Raw alerts are a starting point, not the product. We group them into incidents with a root cause.

Self-hosted & sovereign

It runs on your infrastructure. Credentials are encrypted at rest; nothing leaves your walls.

Baselines over guesswork

Every metric learns its own normal, so detection means something instead of chasing thresholds.

Security by default

MFA, passkeys, SSO, granular RBAC, and AES-256 encryption at rest — because a monitor sees everything.

Open ecosystem

A modular catalog means new vendor coverage without waiting on a monolithic release.

Built to grow

From a single node to a clustered, multi-tenant fleet — the same platform the whole way up.

Under the hood

Engineered like the systems it watches

A TypeScript and Node backend drives the poller fabric and AIOps engine; a React front end renders live dashboards, topology, and maps; realtime flows over Socket.IO; and it all sits on PostgreSQL with TimescaleDB for time-series at scale.

Poller fabric + AIOps engine

Dozens of collectors and services, leader-gated for clustered deployments.

Time-series done right

PostgreSQL + TimescaleDB with downsampling and configurable retention.

Web, agent & mobile

A React app, a zero-dependency collector agent, and a mobile companion for on-the-go visibility.
